Spaghetti with tomato sauce sound very simple dish but if it made by chef in Rosinella, it is simply unforgettable. It was couple weeks ago and I am sure that I will not forget the taste of that delicious pasta sauce for a long time which took me to my childhood when my grandma used to cook... Service was kind and quick too. I am not even mentioning low priced menu. So I told the server to tell the chef for this amazing tomato sauce (I even got some for home). So, even after couple of weeks, I still miss it. If you are in the area, definitely try the pasta with tomato sauce.

So sad to do this....I ate at Rosinella Brickell weekly for 5 years until it closed. We loved going there more than anywhere around this block. Better food than Perricone's by far. Nicer and closer than Tutto Pasta. In fact, I said all this in a yelp review I gave them. We ate her with my family, with his family, with my friends, with his friends. We bought pizza, and picked up, brought up to our apt near by. My Italian joint. I always figured there's another one on Lincoln Road. So disappointed. That waitress. Seriously. I asked for a favorite, their house risotto, a simple saffron risotto. Not on the menu always, but I've been assured, for years, that I can order. Waitress told me at first that because they are busy they precook the food and can not change it. Seriously? Who says that? Then she told me "just tell me what you want" and then she said "I' gonna ask but if they say something I'm coming out here and telling you NO!" I couldn't believe my ears. I asked my friends at the table if she had actually said that. Everyone was surprised. But to hear this from my favorite restaurant was like a glass of cold water...something we had to request 3 times because she never refilled the water. The risotto that came out was perfectly cooked, saffronless, flavorless, saltless, stark plate of white rice. I had to shake it with salt every few bites. It looked like when my grandmother made rice pudding, except it had chicken pieces. She brings the bill. She actually had the confidence to say that "gratuity is included and that's for everyone but there is a line if you wanna give me more". I'm just going to accept the fact that Rosinella is gone for good. This one doesn't count.

Worst service ever and here is the bummer, the 18% tip or service charge, according to the owner/manager, YOU ARE OBLIGATED TO PAY!!!. The owner/manager (the short bald guy) actually called the policy and threaten us; he actually said he has to do that everyday, I wonder why?.... Do not go there!!!

    (1)
  • Hiram D.

Terrible service. The food took for ever and came cold. After we sent it to get heated it took over 15 minutes. We asked to remove the included tip and they did not wanted so we had to speak to the manager. The manager did not want to remove it and he ended up calling the police. Do not go there.

Rude. I'm writing this review as our meal progresses. So far it has not been a good experience. The manager was very rude because he came up to our party of 15, which you think would be good because we are here to spend money, and tells us that we need to order quickly because they get busy and don't usually get large parties until later. I cannot believe how unprofessional and rude he was to try and rush our dinner. We are eating at his establishment and Paying hard earned money to eat here and our first impression is rushed. They also took about 15 minutes to bring bread to the table and that's only after they asked us if we wanted any. Our food just arrived and the fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp is very good. Unfortunately the service is continuing to be rude. We asked for bread again and the manager took it away and yelled "I thought you wanted it toasted!" It's really unnecessary for him to act the way he's been acting. It's very childish. Overall, decent food but it doesn't matter how good the food is if you're treated poorly. One star. Eat elsewhere.

Great value. Homemade ravioli and fettuccini! Wine tastes like house wine. Staff hustles and does a nice job.

We were in town for a comedy show at the Fillmore, so we headed down Lincoln Rd. to grab some dinner. We only had about an hour to spare, so we wanted faster service. We found that Rosinella had plenty of seating outside so we sat down and were greeted fairly quickly. We had several rounds delicious margaritas and rum & cokes. Then we had fried mozzarella and fried calamari for lunch. The fried mozzarella came out as 3 patty-shaped balls of goodness. My husband said they were too much cheese with not enough breading, but I thought they were good. The calamari was good, but something was off with the breading, which made it more bland than good. For entrees we had fettuccine alfredo, margarita pizza, and caesar salad. All were great and much better than expected! While this restaurant is nothing to write home about, the service and prices were very good for south beach standards. We would return if we were in the same scenario again!

Had a late dinner, 10:30. Shared a chicken panini and a Caesar salad. Very quick service. Pleasant atmosphere. Outdoor seating, though we sat indoors.

The service was really bad we wait for the 15 minutes for 2 plates and they blood one that it was wrong The food was not even good I do and the waiter include the deep which we took out. Because we were not happy with the service The waiter told me to fuck in Italian language in front of the manager . this is not a place that I would recommend to anyone

What a breath of fresh air in Miami! This place is affordable AND delicious...no wonder this place is packed to the gills. What I loved most was seeing a daily menu was hand written for guests...in a world saturated with a fast food mentality - Rosinella breathes life into fresh, "slow" food. I ordered the lentil soup (delicious), grilled calamari antipasto, and the Nero d'avola. The soup was perfect on a "chilly night" in Miami - fresh, filling, and flavorful (3 F's of f*k'n fantastic food...now there's 6!). The grilled calamari had a nice flavor and sat on organic greens. Is it possible to have too much calamari on a salad? At any rate, I licked the plate to finish it off. Finally, if you're a red wine fan and want a delectable Sicilian glass (or carafe....or bottle....or case) get the Nero d'avola and warm your soul. Salud and happy dining Miami!

Went here last night, yummy salad, average margarita pizza, got the special past penne spicy sausage.. Looked like ground beef , not spicy.

Great service! Started with the calamari which was very fresh. Had the penne pasta with pink sauce instead of the pomodoro sauce. Extremely tasty and fresh. Pasta was al dente. Very nice experience!

Food was really good. We had the fettuccine alfredo and lobster ravioli. Average prices. Food came out in good timing and we left full. I will def come back when I revisit South Beach.

Do not walk in here. Food and service is terrible. Plenty of good places in Lincoln rd but this is not one of them.

    (1)

Food is mediocre by Italian standards. Service is chaotic even in downtime. It's a hungry-and-no-time-to-research tourist trap.

I legitimately have no idea how this place is open. They must have an extensive lease... The red wine I got was served chilled and smelled like acetone so I told them I thought it was bad & they kindly replaced it, however, the wine glasses are so tiny you look like a giant drinking out of a normal sized wine glass... Its very bizarre. The ravioli was literally reheated (not thoroughly) and whatever was inside had gone bad before the re-heat. The topping on the lasagna looked like that time I threw up cafeteria food in the 4th grade. The check came and the waitress awkwardly lingered over me staring at the check book while I signed (18% gratuity already included in total btw which is normal for Miami) and began wiping the table sweeping crumbs off the table on to me so I dove in to save my wine glass before she cleared it away too because it was still half full and she picked the check up as soon as I finished signing it. she grabbed it so quick that if my hand was still inside I may have lost a finger. This was such a confusing and terrible experience. I'm going to need several more (unrefrigerated, fresh) glasses of wine afterwards. Forgot to mention: their Parmesan cheese is that fake powdered stuff that they basically sweep off of the floor and in to a bottle after the real Parmesan cheese is made..... They have real fresh cracked pepper though!!!!

  • Ana T.

Authentic Italian food! I ordered the fettuccini with crab meat and tomatoes. Pasta was perfectly cook, -no fake crab meat here!-, and the tomatoes were fresh. We didn't wait much, the food came out fast. My two year old had the tangerine gelato for desert which was not too sweet, and was serve in an fresh orange peel dish. Nice touch! Atmosphere is casual, and our Italian waiter was very pleasant. I will recommend this spot if you are craving Italian. We tend to eat here a lot when walking down Lincoln rd.

Caliber of food was above average for Lincoln Rd. The service we received was outstanding. A bit of a wait for the check, but we were outside and the ambiance was great so we didn't mind. Food arrived quick and was well prepared, traditional Italian.

We were walking on Lincoln Road and we saw Rosinella, an Italian restaurant that looked good. We asked for a table and we were sat right away. The waitress was not that kind, but it was fine until the moment. We ordered for two lemonades, which took a long time to arrive and it was terrible, there was no lemonade taste at all. Besides, when the ice melted it was tasting like water. We ordered Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and Ravioli of crab and lobster. The plates were good, except the chicken on the pasta that was tasting old and dry. The employees were not paying attention to us and our waitress disappeared after the lemonade. When we asked for the check it took some time to arrive and the change took even longer. After that we entered the restaurant to go to the restroom, and when we asked the girl on the door she was really indifferent and rude to tell us where it was. The price is not that high, the food was ok, but the service is poor.

I stopped by rosinella the other day for lunch while I was strolling along Lincoln Rd and overall had a nice dining experience. They have a pretty extensive list of specials for the day, most at a very reasonable price. The service and the food was solid, nothing to write home about, but good nonetheless. I wouldn't mind stopping by again when I'm in the mood for some Italian food next time I go shopping on Lincoln.

Love Rosinella, but tonight they wouldn't sit because the kitchen was backed up. We left and they lost our business to Sylvanos. Get it together, we are South Beach residents and want you to succeed. With this mentality, you will not make it. Love, Loyal Customers

Delicious spaghetti and spicy tomato sauce! Very al dente. We asked the staff if we could sit in the comfy, white chairs outside that people usually just use for drinking alcohol, and the staff let us. Fun!

Unfortunately, a lot of the restaurants on Lincoln Road get to be really lazy because they rely on the foot traffic generated by tourists and not repeat visits. Rosinella is one of these restaurants. I was with a group of friends at a restaurant that I didn't want to eat at where we were all smoking hookah (mostly because I don't want to eat anywhere where you can rent out a hookah at your dinner table - not every restaurant also has to be a hookah bar. Curse you Miami!). I decided I'd walk a little down the ways and order some take out elsewhere. Rosinella was the closest place where a) takeout was avilable and b) anything looked appetizing. I can't speak to the dining experience, but realistically if the food isn't good why would you go back even if the rest of it was great? And the food really was that bad. I ordered the Risotto of the day, and regardless of what that specifically entailed, it wasn't even Risotto. It was a flavorless rice soup. Even after pouring a ton of salt in it and letting it sit for a few minutes to see if it would dry up it was still terrible. I sadly ate about half of it because I was starving and threw the rest out, defeated. I usually like to give second chances, but this food was just too awful. This local will be avoiding this tourist trap from now on.

Can't say enough great things about this spot on Lincoln Road we JUST FOUND! After 18 years in business on the often-overturned Lincoln Road- you know they are doing something right! Absurdly delicious. Amazing customer service an staff. You will not go wrong here!!!!!

  • Anita G.

I love the food there! The downtown one is just as good! Authentic yummy Italian food...feels like I'm in Italy if I close my eyes while eating there. Not your typical Lincoln Rd "Italian" restaurant tourist trap. This one is totally worth it! Please order Italian dishes there tho don't expect them to have the best (if any) tuna tataki, fillet mignon etc in town...I hate when people go to Italian restaurants and order that kind of food and get disappointed (duh!) it's like ordering ravioli w tomato sauce at a Chinese restaurant come on ppl!

Worst meal I've ever had on Lincoln road in 8 years. Both entree's ordered were prepared poorly and given a half effort. You can taste and see that the quality of ingredients are based upon the cheapest price available to them. My girlfriend walked by the kitchen and saw a row of microwaves all being utilized, this is not considered cooking in any culture. I'm no chef myself but Penne should not require the chewing of caliber of steak. Save your time and money and choose another restaurant. If they hadn't included 18% gratuity they would have gotten zero tip from me

Horrible ... To start they provide flat soda and burnt black bread ... Service is horrible had to wait forever to even get a drink but not only is it hard to get a drink the waitress completely forgot to place a food order... CHICKEN PARMESAN was finally served while everyone was done eating and it did not come with pasta... Isn't this suppose to be an Italian restaurant... It came with horribly cooked vegetables ... So we finished up w lots of food to leave on the table visibly unsatisfied with no recognition from management - STAY AWAY!!!!!

Best bang for your buck on Lincoln Rd. True Italian family owned. Momma Rosinella cooking in the kitchen. Everything made from scratch including the pastas, breads, sauces. Best spaghetti and meatballs and spaghetti and clams on the Blvd.

I can't believe I have yet to review Rosinella! This place is my standby - perfect for lunch or dinner! Everything is great on the menu, from the thin crust pizzas, to the pastas and risottos. Salads are fresh and varied and the sandwiches are good too. I have never had a bad meal here. Service is reliable - I have never had a rude server or a long wait. Rosinella is one of the few places I feel comfortable having lunch at during the week - I know I can be back at work in under an hour (ugh! so much for a civilized lunch. "real" Italians are rolling their eyes!) The food is reasonably priced and portioned. I have had some really nice wine by the glass here as well. And don't forget that it's perfectly positioned right on Lincoln!

Our entree was pretty good. We had the lobster ravioli. Better than I would have expected. Only downside to the restaurant at this location was a leak from the air duct above our table. The water had dropped on our table and we asked to move. As we moved the waiter simply reset the table for other customers and I saw the plates directly under where the water had dripped- could have dealt with the situation differently.

I have eaten here twice, and both times were quite fantastic. The service has been friendly as well. I had pasta dishes and the 1st time, I felt the pasta was not cooked enough, so I asked the 2nd time for the pasta to be cooked more, and it was. Both pasta dishes had alfredo, mushrooms and peas. The mushrooms were fresh and cooked to perfection. The peas were perfectly firm to add to the pasta. I like the prices at this restaurant as well. They don't play the games of marking up their prices super high, then discounting then 20% if the place is empty. All around, this has been a reliable place to catch a solid meal!

  • Lincoln B.

I was very disappointed with the food. Normally go to the brickell location and always enjoy the food there but my plate did not taste well at all. The food seemed rushed. Felt like they want you to come, eat and leave as quickly as possible. It does have heavy foot traffic.

A little Italian bistro type restaurant in South Beach right on the pedestrian mall. The food there is GREAT! The service is friendly, and the location has some great people watching. This is authentic Italian, owned by a family of 1st gen Italian immigrants. Great gnocchi, pizza, meat balls, and make sure to save room for their Tirimisu (My wife's favorite from anywhere).

Who knew that going out to dinner in South Beach would result in the cops being called!!! We were both shocked when last week the police were called when we simply, in a very polite manner requested the server at Rosinella on Lincoln road in fashionable Miami South Beach, to reduce the automatic service fee amount from 18% down to 10% for the poor service we received for our dining experience. We had to go "find" our server 4 separate times over a 45 minute period when no-one came to check on us or ask if we needed anything - just to request additional seasoning on our food, another beverage and several times to request our check. We did not dispute the bill just the service fee they automatically applied on top of our food/beverage costs. They pointed out that this fee is mandatory and cannot be adjusted as indicated in the microscopic print on the bottom of the menu. The manager went on to explain every restaurant can have different policies (suggested gratuity, no suggested gratuity or automatic service charge (not gratuity) paid to their "contracted" servers that are not employees. They went with the latter route. which means it does not matter how badly they perform - they will automatically get 18% on top of every food/bev bill. We simply asked for them to take into consideration our unhappiness with our service and reduce the amount by approx $6, There immediate reaction was to threaten us with police force! We told them to please go ahead and contact the police so we could clarify with them what the true "law" regarding service fees were. We had eaten at no less than 12 other very nice establishments in south beach during our week long trip and did not have any mandatory fees applied to our bill. In fact we over-tipped more than 20% on most of our bills due to the exceptional service we received. While we waited the manager continued to bully us into paying the bill and refused to give us back our credit card. Of course upon arrival of the police they expressed bewilderment of the cause of the restaurant's call for "backup!" They indicated they had no idea how the "law" was to be interpreted by either restaurant owners or patrons. They did say it was illegal for restaurant to hold our credit card hostage until we agreed to pay the bill. They said it is up to each establishment makes up their own rules and systems and they didn't know what our options were but suggested we just pay the bill and service fee and never dine there again. They did recommend that we dispute the charges with our credit card/bank indicating that we did not receive the service we expected and that appeared to be our only recourse. We have done this, and of course will use every social media means possible to tell our story about this terrible practice and experience. It literally ruined our evening and set a very bad tone for the remainder of our trip.

This is our family "place." We brought our son here as soon as he was able to leave the house - seven days after he was born, his first outing. Love the people there, the service was excellent the first time we walked in the door, friendly and helpful. And the food is delicious and totally affordable - unlike most other options available on Lincoln Road. $10 for an entire pizza, and for most pasta dishes, and large portions of soup and even organic salad for four or five dollars.

We had dinner after we checked into our hotel and went to the beach. The food and service was okay -- nothing special. Not likely to go back.

The only decent pizza on an island replete with inedible, disgusting pizza geared to tourists. The rest of their food is great too. I have lived on the beach 25 years, tried 'em all, and this is the only one worth its sauce (no pun). Thank God for Mamma's bringing Italy (I used to live there too) to South Beach. The absolute best!

I agree with one of the reviews below - the only Italian place on lincoln (with the exception of maybe Quattro) that doesn't feel like a tacky tourist trap. Laid back, relaxed mood - tables weren't smushed together so you didn't feel packed in, which is nice. (Not sure if this is b/c they aren't as busy as the other places, but it's good if you want to escape the madness of other places) Nice but a little slow in the service department. Food was suprisingly good, not over the top excellent but everything was cooked nicely and fresh. Prices are GREAT - less than most places on lincoln. Overall we were all happy and will be back, just hope things are a little more speedy next time :)

Ordered a caesar salad that tasted like nothing. Had to put watered down balsamic vinegar on it. Then ordered a pizza margherita. It looked like a cheese pizza with some basil sprinkled in the middle and tasted like cardboard. I did not even finish the pizza, went and ate somewhere else. Do not waste your money or time at this place. They do not care about quality just your money.

  • David L.

Very slow service and kitchen. 2-3 stars at most. Caesar salad was very bland. Lobster & Crab Ravioli was barely warm but tasty because the sauce (pink they called it) was very delicious. Had to ask four times for additional bread for the table. Server was dry, rude and inattentive. I've never done so before, but it was so bad we deducted part of the automatic tip and the waiter chased us down the sidewalk asking what the problem was. Jeez!

Can't comment on the food as we didn't get that far. Went to the bar to grab a drink. Waited just for a bartender to show up then when he didn't we were no acknowledged. After a few more minutes of waiting we left. Couldn't even comment on how they pour a drink with that kind of service.

I really wanted to give 4 stars, but just couldn't do it. For that reason, skip to my last paragraph. For my full review, read on. Stumbled upon this place mainly because we were just looking for a place to sit down and eat our soft serve yogurt from next door. We found some comfy couches where we could people-watch, thinking the couches were associated with an area that either wasn't open or under construction. We were wrong. The couches belonged to the Gemma Lounge which is part of Rosinella. So that we could stay seated and people watch, we ordered a bottle of Pellegrino. After awhile, we ordered a second bottle (and had to track down a server -- we were ignored for awhile), and then, we ordered pizza. None of this was really in our plan for the day as we really just wanted to chill and chat...but after a couple of hours, I guess our plan changed according to the discussions happening within our bellies. Keep in mind that if you sit in this particular area of couches, you can only order appetizers or pizza, and drinks. Thinking we'd maybe just order the most basic margherita pizza, we overheard a server telling the group on the couch next to us that the gorgonzola pizza was her favorite. So, that's what we ordered. Oh. My. Gawd. That pizza was the BEST I'd had in a really long time. The crust was uber thin, almost like a flatbread style, and the mozzarella combined with the gorgonzola was to die for! If you want a spot to relax and people watch, check out the couches in front of the Gemma Lounge. Just know you'll be ordering from Rosinella, and you won't have the entire menu available to you, but it's great for an easy bite and a drink. And the main reason I rounded down to 3 stars (I'd actually give them a 3.5) is because a dog had dropped 2 pieces of mushy poop on the pedestrian walkway, right in front of the couches, and when we told the servers about it, they did nothing. Yes, a gal stepped in one of the blobs while walking in her flip flops and YES, it got all over her foot, and YES she screamed. It provided for some pretty funny entertainment, but I did feel bad and offered her a big pile of napkins. A classy place would have cleaned up this mess after we notified them. Because of that, and the challenge in getting service at times, I gave them 3 stars. I'd still go back since the pizza rocked!

Rosinella is the only Italian restaurant on Lincoln Road that doesn't feel like a tourist trap. There are no sidewalk barkers handing out cards, or phony 2 for 1 specials. The food is simple, fresh, affordable and tasty. The regular menu is pretty basic, but they have daily specials in every category; antipasto, salads, pasta, risotto, fish, chicken and meat. They are one of the only places that serve grilled calamari, which I love. Service is friendly and almost everything on the menu is less than $20. This concept works for me!

I disagree with most of the reviewers on this forum and if you check my profile, I am quite negative and critical. I dined at this restaurant on a Wednesday night. [ Granted it wasn't the weekend ] Outside is was blazing hot, so I opted to stay inside in the AC. I ordered a cheese pizza and my salad last, as I always do. The pizza arrived pronto and was delciious. Very, very, very good. It was competitive with most Jersey and NY pizza. Bread was served as I got in and was hot and delicious. Waiter was friendly and attentive ..... I'll never go back to Miami ever again, but would recommend this place to anyone. It was delicious.

I wish there is a choice I could offer less than one star for this place. Me and my friend already had a late lunch and was just walking by, we decided to get something light. After checking the menu and we decided to share a pasta and get a margarita after. So we told the waitress that we want two waters for now, and maybe margarita after. The waitress asked if we'd like regular water or mineral water, I said regular is fine. When the waters came to the table, they were glass bottle spring waters, we were like oh well...maybe this is the only kind of "regular water" they have. There were another table sat next to us after 5 mins and I noticed their waiter brought normal glass waters to them. Out of curiosity, I asked our waitress that what would she call the normal ice water, bc honestly, what I meant regular water is tap water. She hesitated and said: "well that's regular regular water...and since you guys are not drinking and sharing a pasta...". Seriously? Didn't I say that I was going to.get a margarita after food? Also even if I wasn't going to, they didn't not mark anywhere on the the menu saying that a customer has to order alcohol! It's very unpleasant that the waitress just decided to add extras on our spending simply bc they auto charge 18% tips. I'd rather they indicate there's a minimum speaking per person. Also the food is horrible, our pasta tasted raw. DO NOT EAT there, totally ruined my my vacation mood.

The food has consistently been great since my first meal there 15 years ago. Don't think twice about dinning here. We eat here as a family at least 3 times a month and love to come back. You'll feel like family after your second time here. Mama ( the owner) will always will give you a kiss and send something special out for you one you become a regular.

Food was strangely bland and tasteless. I mean it tasted like nothing! 3 of our 4 meals were this way. Very weird. Also, our Russian waitress was not at all friendly and slammed our water glasses so hard on the table I thought the glass would break. But what does she care? She made 18% no matter how crappy she treated us. I was really ticked at spending money there when it was all said and done. I got the impression that we were just 4 PITA tourists that they could barely tolerate.

YUK!!! I swear the pizza here was frozen and then cooked in the oven. I ordered Margehrita pizza and it was nothing more than cheese pizza. My boyfriend ordered prosciutto pizza and it was the same pizza as mine except they laid 3 slices on top and did not even cut it. The tip that this place was not going to be good was when I asked if they had sausage and the waiter tried telling me that prosciutto was italian sausage.

A South Beach tourist trap. Came here starving with two of my friends. Food (pasta primavera) and prices weren't bad, but the service was terribly inattentive. Why should the wait staff care when they get an automatic 18% gratuity added on? Supposedly, this automatic gratuity is due to the large number of European tourists who don't tip, but I shouldn't get penalised by crappy service.

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my meal at Rosinella. I wanted to and I was hungry and perhaps I picked the wrong items on the menu but I did not like my food at all. The service was good and so was the ambiance (standard for crowded Lincoln Road) but the food was just ok. The pizza should be labeled a flatbread. The dough is very thin and not Italian-thin, just really really thin and not properly salted. The fried calamari appetizer did not taste good. I always order fried calamri, wherever I go. I am not that picky but these ones were really not good. Someone at my table had a pasta dish and said he enjoyed it, but as far as my choices go, I can't say I would go back. Also heads up make sure you ask if they take your credit card, they don't take all kinds so just double check!

3rd visit for dinner here and hopefully I don't have to keep trying it again. The food is always consistently mediocre. I have tried many of their dishes and nothing stands out. The service is nothing spectacular either. I have gone here in the past on friends' requests/recommendations. Next time I will make the suggestions.

The service here actually was pretty nice, but maybe that was because I was eating with my friend Annie, whom our server was intrigued by. However, the rest of the comments on this place are pretty spot on. The pasta may be home (house?) made but it didn't taste that great. The meatballs in their spaghetti didn't have any zest to them either and I couldn't finish mine. Annie had something with alfredo sauce which was way too rich and overflavored. Maybe they do that to appeal to dulled American palettes and maybe I'm being a snob but I just wasn't impressed. I'd try the place across the street that seemed better although I didn't eat there (De Luca)

Nothing out of the ordinary. The food is not bad; I particularly enjoy the veal milanese. Service is good and prompt (in my experience); my party of 12 was immediately seated and we received our food fairly quickly after ordering - on a Friday night, mind you. And with the exception of the appetizers, portions are fairly generous and reasonably priced. The aforementioned veal will more than likely sate your appetite while setting you back less than $20. Not too shabby, but don't expect to be wowed.

Good, but standard Italian fare at a reasonable price in the always fun Lincoln Rd area. Our lunch was far overdue (we'd been hanging out at the boat show all morning) so we immediately asked for several waters when we sat down (they were very accomodating with our order of multiple waters per person, but a little slow). Then they brought out the bread, which was good enough but didn't give us any butter or oil to eat it with. I was very pleased with my crabmeat ravioli. It was definitely the best dish we ordered (and well priced too). I was able to finish the uneaten bread with the yummy sauce left on my plate. The penne pesto was good, exactly as you would expect penne pesto to taste. The pizza margherita was pretty boring and the meat lasagna was just a mess. Not to mention, the lasagna took so long to come out that everyone else was done eating by the time my husband got it. We asked the waiter to have a sandwich ready to go for take out (for our friend who had to work) when we were done with dessert. We ordered the tiramisu (Which I thought was wonderfully creamy, but a little lacking in both coffee flavor and quanitity of lady fingers. It was mostly mascarpone) and the dark chocolate tartufo, which was nice. Then, we asked for the sandwich we ordered...and waited...and waited. When that finally came out we asked for our check. And waited....Then we asked for it again...and waited some more. So, although the food was generally good, the service is MOST of the reason this place doesn't make it past 3 stars. They were really slow and didn't seem to be at all understaffed!

So far only Italian place that has amazing food. I am a big Italian eater and this is the only one is Miami I am in love with. The Alfredo sauce is so yummy. I think they make it by scratch because its too yummy to be from a bottle. It's not a place for you to go and get crazy. The place is supper chilled, laid back, and awesome for a date. Everyone speaks Italian and the owners make it feel like a Italian home with pictures of their Italian mother cooking. Love it!

Meat in the Bolognese sauce is canned and smells like dog food. Porcini mushrooms are also canned and smell bad. Two dishes were bland and the third was too spicy. Manager was helpful at first but as problems continued he ignored our table and never returned.

Great Italian Food and perfect location. Try the Focaccia with Prosciutto and Romero, Lobster Ravioli or ask for the tipical Pulpetta ( spaghetti w/ small meetballs in red sauce ). Everything is good there.

The food was ok. I got the risotto and corn soup. Risotto had a few mushrooms which was disappointing for the price. Soup was bland. Service very slow.

Food was tasteless we had to put salt and balsamic vinegar on everything just so it could taste like something. "cardboard" was the word my friend used to describe the chicken sandwich. On top of that it took 25 minutes to get a salad and a panini. 1st and last. Oh and a 18% grat is automatically included.

I expected great things from Rosinella's after eating at some of the other establishments on Lincoln Rd. Sadly, while the food was pretty good (more on that later), the service was HORRENDOUS. Our party of 6 was actively ignored by our waiter after ordering drinks and appetizers. We spent almost 3 hours there for a pretty simple meal. I guess since tip is automatically included in your bill, they don't feel compelled to provide even competent service. Our appetizers and drinks arrived promptly, otherwise there might have been mutiny due to low blood sugar-induced grumpiness. We ordered salad, soup and mozzarella sticks to share around. The salad and soup were quite good, as were the mozzarella sticks themselves. But I'm pretty sure the dipping sauce for the mozzarella sticks was straight tomato sauce from a can. It was in desperate need of salt or herbs or both. After many attempts to get our waiter's attention (it was pretty obvious he was avoiding contact with our table after a while), we ordered pizza and pasta dishes from the specials menu. Again, the food was all quite good, but the specter of lousy service sort of ruined the meal for all of us. I would like to point out that there is nothing that anybody in our party did to draw the ire of the waiter. We had an older couple, a couple with a baby, and another expectant couple, so we weren't exactly wild and crazy. No special demands were made, and no unpleasant exchanges were had, so we are not sure what we did, but he was really unpleasant to deal with, and the manager didn't seem to care. For a much nicer Italian dining experience with amazing food and great service, I recommend La Leo just a few blocks up from Rosinella's.

great pizza. I've had the pizza al prosciutto and love it! long-time friend and frequent visitor has pizza al prosciutto with Gorgonzola (not on menu) and it is also very delicious. hubby had crab ravioli and also very tasty pink sauce but I prefer the pizza here. famiy owned and Rosinella still makes the pasta as per my friend who knows the family well. they lose 1 star from me since we had to wait forever to get our check (onl multiple visits). i hate waiting after I've eaten and have to basically beg them to let us pay the bill. in their defense, I've only come with a large group for dinner (8-10 people). outside seating available and my preference so you can people watch.

I cannot emphasize enough how great I think this place is. It's one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. I've been going here for years and pre becoming a vegetarian I used to get meat lasagna every time now I get the eggplant parmesan. but I've tried their seafood risotto and other dishes and everything is great. Their tomato sauce is PERFECT, it is subtle and has just the right amount of basil, tomato, and olive oil. I've been to Italy numerous times and can say that it is on par with what I have tried there. The dishes are not extremely innovative or adventurous but simple and delicious works ver well for them. I've eaten at the one on MB and Brickell and have had great experiences at both. Plus the interior is beautiful and comfortable and if you are lucky you will catch the old Italian woman smoking her cigarillo.

I love this place, real Italian, from Italians. The family works this place perfectly, the mom is older and still comes in every morning and makes the food for all day! Pizza is thin crust and kicks butt! I order penne with chicken, sun dried tomatoes and pine nuts almost every time!

Why have I never reviewed this place? I've been coming here for about 15 years and I haven't had better pizza in Miami. If you like your pizza the way they serve it in Italy -- thin and crispy, not a lot of fussy toppings -- you will love this place. I also ALWAYS get the grilled calamari. I would really like to try other things on the menu but I can't seem to wean myself off the calamari because I can never find it grilled anywhere else. I love their little coke bottles, which are shaped similarly to the chef and owner, an adorable little old grandma from Italy. I love the outdoor seating. I love the friendly and super-efficient service. If a restaurant on Lincoln Road has been around for over 15 years, they're doing something right and this place really is. The lunch crowd loves this place (and that's when I usually hit it up). If you're in the mood for a tasty and simple lunch, give it a try. Don't be put off by the touristy location. In fact, if you're a local, make like a tourist and have a beer or glass of wine with your meal. It might be the start of a beautiful stay-cation.

We decided we were in the mood for Italian and this was the closest thing we came across when walking down Lincoln Road. Our waitress had a great sense of humor and was cracking us up. She was really nice. Unfortunately the food didn't do anything for me. We got a caesar salad and a chopped salad, they didn't taste all that different and the chopped salad wasn't even chopped. I got eggplant parm which wasn't eggplant parm - it was more like broiled eggplant with cheese and tomato sauce on top. I wasn't impressed. The pizza was good, nothing special.

I live here in sobe and I particularly come here for their pasta , I really think it's one of the best on Ln. Road but their service is just mediocre , they need to take care about that... servers just take your order and that's it , I blame it to the ownership , it's a family place.

I give this restaurant 2 stars for my entree, but 3 stars because the other three diners at the table were all satisfied with their meals. I ordered the shrimp in spicy tomato sauce, but the entree I received tasted like shrimp in non-spicy canned tomato sauce. It was bland. There was a good portion of shrimp though and others were happy with their orders: risotto, fettuccine, and anchovy sauce. Surprisingly decent margherita pizza. Nothing special, but they have all the staple Italian fare and well-priced for this tourist strip. They also have a pretty good selection of wines and whiskey. Both al fresco and beautiful indoor seating. Come for the ambiance of eating on Lincoln Road, especially if seated outside. Don't come for great Italian food

When I hear the word "Gorgonzola" it makes me think of an eruption of taste. Just the thought of it makes my mouth water. So when my boss wanted to order the Chopped Salad (which she absolutely loves) for lunch I decided to get the Penne Gorgonzola. What I got, though, was a bland cream sauce with hints of Gorgonzola. Nothing special. I added a ton of pepper and it was still much too bland for my tastes. In their defense, I am the type of person who wants flavors to be bursting out from the 1st bite but seriously? It should have been called Penne a la Creme :(

I just wanted a simple dinner after closing up a 5 day show at the exhibition center. And any kind of pasta is comfort food for me. Rosinella's had a few empty tables that were placed to my liking and I needed to sit down. The menu looked good so I ordered their lasagna to go with my beer. It came after half a beer, just about when I like to see food. I was surprised that the portion is on the small side, usually lasagna comes in a size I struggle to finish. This is about half of what I expected. But it was covered with a generous portion of meat sauce, not at all watery thin. It was good, with many flecks of taragon(?), very tasty. So it turns out to be a good thing, especially since I've been eating too many big dinners late at night! Sometimes smaller is better. Must try their pizza next time.

Rosinella of Miami Beach is the Paesanos's of New York's Mulberry Street.... Basic, Home Cooked, Classic Italian food... on a budget! Rosinella serves classic, no-nonsense Italian basics, which will more than likely satisfy your pasta or pesce craving without breaking the bank. Pasta dishes range from $10 to $18, Appetizers from $5 to $18, and Meats and Fish from $12 to $38, depending on the daily specials. Do not expect frills or culinary showpieces... Rosinella serves up modest Italian dishes, standard wine and beverages, perfect for informal dining and observing the plethora of characters that Lincoln Road allures.

What happened to this place. My chicken tasted as if it was frozen and the asta was over cooked. My wife enjoyed the salmon but her veggies also over cooked. Seems that server just avoided us and left a bad experience. I will try again said did enjoy eating there other location .

One word: Regret. We should have known the food was going to be bad when we had to ask for lemon to cover up the taste of the terrible table water. The bread was stale and gross, which we did not expect from an italian restaurant. My ravioli tasted like it was soaked in hunts sauce straight from the can, nothing added, and the ravioli was eh. My friend's risotto was undercooked and when she discovered a hair in her food all the manager said was "my kitchen staff wears hair nets.' No apology. Overall this place sucked!

Absolutely horrible. DO NOT eat here. Ordered food at 9:40 got it at 10:35 and it was only 2 pasta dishes and 2 salads. And then the pasta was barely cooked. I like al dente but this was so hard it was pretty much inedible. Waste of money and time. Tourist trap. Not even close to Italian, even olive garden would be 10 times better. DONT COME HERE

Certainly would not say this place has the greatest service. It took forever to flag down the wait staff...the place wasn't exactly jammed either. As for the location, it's pretty much in the middle of all the action on the Lincoln shopping strip. Decent patio to people watch and well shaded from that Miami sun. When it comes to the food, we were pleasantly surprised (having expected the worst given the long wait)...pasta was cooked correctly and the pizza was fairly close to what you'd get in Italy. If you're not in a rush, it's a solid eatery within walking distance of all the action. +ives: food -ives: slooooooow

If you enjoy waiting about 40 minutes for a plate of food, let alone menus to be brought to the table, then this is your place! It was a relatively busy night when we went, our table was one of the 3 that were inside occupied yet it somehow took about 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge that we were there. We had to personally go outside and ask the hostess to give us some menus because no one was taking care of us. After waiting for another 10 minutes, we finally got a waiter. He was a gem. Rude & Snippy are exactly how I like my waiters to treat me. I ordered the chicken parm with a side of pasta and no veggies. The waiter even made it a point to say to me from across the table that the side of pasta would be $3 extra. Fine, that was OK by me. Lo and behold, the food gets there and i have veggies on my plate, no pasta. So i tell the serve who brought it that I wanted pasta and she takes it back. Then he comes out and in front of our whole table scolds me and says "you did not say you wanted pasta with this, i told you this very clearly". ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? About 3 people in my party quickly told him how HE himself pointed out that it would be $3 extra for pasta and that I did in fact order the pasta instead of the veggies that it came with. Besides that, I must say that my food and everyone else's at my table got rave reviews. Everything from the chicken parm to the risotto was delicious. If they could manage to be a lot quicker in serving their customers and oh, i don't know, not giving sass to their customers, then i would consider coming back. Even though the food was delicious, the service ruined the experience for me and for sure I won't be coming back here anytime soon.

Went to Rosinella after a bad service malfunction at BELLA CUBA. The hostess, the bartender and the waiter were very friendly and fun. We started having beers at the bar and than went outside to eat dinner. The fried calamari was crunchy and delicious. The chicken Parmigiana was juice and suculent. Nice place to eat and people watch.!!!

Miami is not known for food or service, but when you're on vacation, you have to eat somewhere. Passing by this cute, Italian joint in Brickell, I noticed the cafe tables outside filled with peeps and pasta. Not a huge Italian fan, I wanted something with more Latin flavor, but it really did look appetizing so we decided to give it a try. Service was as expected. Slow with that "I just don't care" attitude. We had to ask for bread, and then ask for olive oil, balsamic and parm, which was dumped on the plate like a pile of dirt. Specials of the day are handwritten on a menu instead of presented by the server. I opted for the lobster ravioli, which was flavorful and satisfying. Accompanied with a light and creamy tomato sauce, it reminded me of my trip to Italy. Upon receipt of the bill, we had an 18% gratuity automatically added. I was a little perturbed by this; one, because I didn't think they deserved 18% and two, if you add this, then tell me you did before I double up your undeserved tip. So three stars for the food, and one star for the service.

Walking along the beach we became hungry. We're new to Miami and didn't know better, so we stopped at Rosinella's. The wait staff wasn't peddling their wares, which should have been the first indication that they weren't excited about the restaurant. The hostess languidly gestured to a tiny print menu and led us to the 'specials' for the day. We ordered water and a diet coke. I ordered the Proschiutto with melon, remembering delicate folds of ham wrapped around thin slices of melon attractively placed on a plate. Rosninella's proschiutto was bland and laid out in a basket weave with three giant melon wedges atop. The complimentary bread was not fresh baked and served cold in slices -- it was a rough bread, tough to chew, and I don't think intentionally. At least their olive oil was good. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs -- we almost got up to leave because although there were dozens of options on the menu (some which included such impurities as 'NY Strip") there were no sausage options. In general, for spaghetti, I prefer larger meatballs, the kind you can only hold one in your fist, and cooked first without the sauce (browned) and then cooked for a time within the sauce. Slightly (very slightly) pink. The spaghetti and meatball sauce was bland, the noodles undercooked and meatballs overcooked. They were tiny meatballs, about a couple centimeters across. I could have forgiven them if the flavor was good. I couldn't taste the garlic, the oregano, none of the spices. I could have done better with fifteen minutes and a Ragu jar. We also ordered a ravioli, whose white sauce was overpowered by the nuttiness of a mushroom flavoring (flavoring, because I did not see a mushroom in the mushroom sauce) and frozen vegetables. Don't bother going- if this is a typical day for them, it's not worth the time or money. Far better fare along South Beach for the casual diner. At a glance, Carnivales, just a few restaurants up the street was visibly more vibrant in ambiance, presentation and appearance of the meal. Oh, and we had smokers right next to us - don't mind if they allow smokers, but don't put non-smokers right next to smokers.

I was visiting Miami Beach with some friends from Italy, and we loved Rosinella! My Italian friends said the food was very authentic and very good! I loved the thin crust pizza with prosciutto, and my friends had pizza with Gorgonzola cheese which they thought was fantastic. They enjoyed it so much that we went back again the next night. The second night I had gnocchi with scallops, zuchini, and tomatoes, which was awesome! My friends had more pizza and some lasagna, which they really enjoyed. Roberto seated us both nights and was very kind. He said the recipes come from his mother and that she cooks sometimes. They were very busy and the service was a bit slow, but we were not in a hurry and so it was no problem. The prices were reasonable, with most entrees less than $14. This is a good find :)

I love this italian restaurant. The food is genuinly mom-and-pop-ish, in that it tastes almost as if it were home cooking. It warms the soul. Not pretentious. Great portions. Nice wine options and relatively good customer service. Overall, not a common find on Lincoln Road. A welcomed option!

Stopped here for dinner after walking up and down Lincoln Rd and checking out all the options. I had the gnocchi and it was very good, perfectly cooked. I also had the house chardonnay, also good and at a great price. My husband had the margarita pizza and it was excellent! Perfectly cooked. We didn't have a problem with service like a lot of the other reviewers. Although we did eat early in the evening when it wasn't that busy.

Jeez!

Very 5 star worthy... considering it's on Lincoln Rd and this good it deserves 10 stars. Food, services and prices all impressive. Looking forward to their Sunset Harbour Market opening.

A great place for day in/day out dining. The menu is mostly daily specials. Great people watching. The service is usually part of the adventure. A visit to Rosinella is part of my weekly routine.

Can't comment on the food as we didn't get that far. Went to the bar to grab a drink. Waited just for a bartender to show up then when he didn't we were no acknowledged. After a few more minutes of waiting we left. Couldn't even comment on how they pour a drink with that kind of service.

I ate here on a recent trip to South Beach. The carrot soup (vegan) was amazing, but the general feel I got from the place was Fazoli's with alcohol.

Absolutely nothing special. I had the driest chicken parm ever. With all the choices in the area, pass on this one. I truly believe Olive Garden is a better choice for Italian.

I've had the pizza with funghi and loved it! l also had the calamari salad as an appetizer, which was very nice. I would skip the appetizer next time, because I could not finish the pizza. My friend had the seafood pasta, and she liked it a lot. They were also extremely fast, as opposed to other restaurants in the same area.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
